Banana Bread

This is the recipe we mostly use for banana bread. Originally got it from Marion, while I worked at Stepping Stone's Daycare a LONG time ago :-)

Banana Bread

1/4 lb butter (1/2 cup)
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 bananas (mashed)
1-3/4 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk

Cream together the butter, sugar, and eggs. In separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Alternately add the milk and dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Fold in mashed bananas.

Bake in a greased and floured pan at 325 deg for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

I usually bake this in 2 bread pans for about 40 minutes.
